Our customer asked us to make a special pluggable terminal block. The task’s essential points consisted of the connector being backward compatible, and we were locked into a 5.08 mm pitch. In addition, room was needed for a relatively large wire square. This meant that we could not have the chamber for conductors placed next to each other, and therefore, the chambers would need to be staggered in height. The tool cost was shared between the customer and the supplier, and the connector is today part of the broad standard program from our supplier.
